Should the Government cut Social Security and Medicare to save the budget?
On Saturday, May 21, 2011, members of Bellingham Senior Activity Center will join with students from Western Washington University to debate on proposed changes to Medicare and Social Security when our nation is facing tremendous pressure to cut budgets. The event will be held at Bellingham Senior Center, 315 Halleck Street, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. It will also feature performances by La Vida Dance Studio, the Senior Center’s own Young at Heart tap dance troupe, and WWU student clubs. There is no charge to attend the event and light refreshments will be served. Donations to Bellingham Senior Activity Center will be accepted.

Curious what your heirlooms and knick knacks are worth? Come to the Antique and Collectibles Evaluation Even on St. Partty's Day - Saturday March 17th - and find out! Skilled evaluators will be there to review your items in our own version of the "Antique Roadshow". Our evaluators will be happy to tell you the value and story of your items. Don't forget, this is a fun event for all ages and will have chili, hot dogs, chips, coffee, and some delicious pie available for purchase! This is an event to benefit the programs of the Bellingham Senior Activity Center, so spread the news and tell your friends!
Mark your calendars for 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 17th 2012 to be at the Bellingham Senior Activities Center at 315 Halleck Street. Tickets are $6 per item, bring as many items as you wish. No furniture please, items must be small enought to carry.
On site assistance will be available to list your treasures if you wish to sell them.
