Chronic Disease Self-Managment Program

 

Paying for fitness classes: Punch cards can be purchased at the front desk and can be used for ANY BSAC fitness class. Classes are ongoing. Punchcards of 10 classes: $45 for members/ $55 for non-members. If you wish to pay for an individual class, the coast is $5.00 for members and $6.50 for non-members.

 

BalanceBone

This class combines the best strength, flexibility, endurance and balance exercises for improving balance, bone density and overall stamina. Taught by Sidney Anderson. Wednesdays, 9:30 - 10:30 am.

 

Forever Fit

Gentle cardio, strength and endurance training designed for older adults. Friday at 9:00am

 

Pilates & More!

A mix of pilates, light cardio, strengthening of core muscles and stretching. Exercises will be in either standing or sitting positon, no time on the floor. Use of light weights and bands, provided by BSAC. Monday, 9:30 - 10:30 am

 

Circuit Training

Circuit training is an excellent way to improve mobility strength and stamina. Circuit training is comprised of 6 to 10 strength exercises that are completed one exercise after another. Saturdays 9:15 - 10:15 am.

 

Zumba

The Zumba Gold program strives to improve balance, strength, flexibility and most importantlt the heart. Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:35 - 10:20 am.

 

Tai Chi

Intro class Mondays, 1:30 - 2:30 pm & Thursdays, 8:30 - 9:30 am, Instructor Paul Mulholland Intermediate class, Tuesdays 8:30 - 9:30 am

 

Yoga-lyengar

Mondays, 10:45 am - 12:15 pm, or Thursdays, 9:45 - 11:15am

 

Smiles for Life

Elder Care Dental Hygiene Services offers a monthly oral hygiene program. Services include : oral health evaluations, cancer screening, and routine and deep cleanings. If interesed sign up at the Front Desk. Fees range from $85 to $125

 

Massage Therapy

Tovah Rainsong of "Aah, Massage!" Table massage or chair massage available. Tuesdays 10:00am - 3:00pm by Appointment. Sign up at the Front Desk. Fee: (charged at $1.00/minute). Come a bit early for your first session for pre-interview.

 

Open Gym

8:00 am - 4: 30 pm, Monday - Friday and 9:00 am - 1:00 pm every Saturday for those who have completed a Strength Training class. Donation $1.00/day for members.

Strength Training Classes

Cost: $60 (BSAC members) for the 15-session class. Please complete and return the Physician's Clearance Form, available at the Front Desk. We will call you to register for the next class.

 

BalanceBones: Level 2 (resumes in September)

This Pilates-based bone building exercise class offers a full body workout with strength and flexibility exercises for building bones and improving balance. This is an evidence based class. Please bring mat. Tuesdays, 5:30 - 6:30 pm in the Auditorium.
